  3. Crime Prevention Tips For Business At Halloween
October 17, 2019

As the Halloween season is upon us, it is important to recognise that this time of year is typically followed by increased incidents of vandalism. It can be an exciting occasion for kids but could be quite expensive for business operators. Consequently, it is the optimal time of year to review the security of your premises and ensure the relevant preventative measures are in place. Continue reading for key tips on how to prevent potentially costly repairs to your property by actively discouraging vandalism.

Limit access Control
Limit access to the premises by keeping the doors, windows fully secure and well-lit during the night. Check your lights are working and where possible, get motion detector lights to discourage criminal activity.

Fire Hazard
Expect the unexpected. Pay attention to potential risks and hazards that may cause fire, check smoke detectors at your property are working. Remove any pallets or other products that might attract intruder’s interest.

Company Vehicles

It’s best to park commercial vehicles in very well-lit areas or, even better, in a garage at Halloween. Make sure that they are locked with the windows closed.

Insurance Policy

It might be worth your while going through your insurance policy to check whether your staff is covered to attend out of alarm activations at your premises.

Alarm Response Service
Invest in a professional service that will look after your property out of hours. Mobile Patrol Inspections are a money-saving solution that allows security guards to check in on your property regularly. Security professionals are trained to do handle emergency situations and keep damage to a minimum.
