Remote switching is a service available to premises where a Top Security Proteus 92 / AR 21 radio is installed.  These radios allow for two-way communication between our Monitoring Station and the radio panel in the building.

This service enables our Central Monitoring Centres to remotely control a whole range of activities on a premises such as switching lights on or off, opening or closing gates for after-hours access and turning on or off alarm systems.

The service is primarily used during non-business hours.  For example, if cleaners were coming in, our controllers could turn off the alarm, open a door for them and arm the alarm again after they left. Remote switching can be utilised in all areas of the country where we have radio coverage.
